Recently, Makeup Geek released some gorgeous new shades into their eyeshadow line. Being a huge Makeup Geek lover, I had to snag some goodies for my collection. I have to say, the eyeshadows that I ordered, did not disappoint. One in particular, called Rebel, caught my eye. It is such a unique colour. The best way I can describe it is as a blue based purple with a gold shift. It inspired me to do a tutorial using this colour and this is what I came up with.

Products Used

  • Becca Priming Filter: lightly applied to the face.
  • Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Foundation: applied a small amount to the face and blended out the product.
  • NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Honey: applied a small amount under the eyes, mainly to the inner portion of the eyes. This concealer has a peachy undertone which will help to tone down any darkness.
  • Prep+Prime Pen in Light Boost: applied lightly underneath the eyes to bring light and extra coverage to the area.
  • NARS Liquid Bronzer in Laguna: applied to the sides of my forehead, cheekbones and chin to add a natural bronze.
  • Too Faced Soleil Bronzer: applied to the same areas of the face, as the liquid bronzer. This just helps to set the liquid bronzer.
  • Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium: applied to the sides of the forehead, hollows of the cheekbones to add a light and natural contour to the face.
  • NARS Lustre Blush: applied to the apples to the cheeks and blended into the bronzer, to give the face a healthy flush.
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills That Glow Kit Palette: combined Dripping in Gold and Starburst highlighters together and applied to the highest points of the face where light would naturally hit.
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade: applied to highlight the shape of the brows and to fill in any sparse areas.

  • Eyes

  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer: applied to the whole eye to prevent any creasing or uneven colour.
  • Makeup Geek Fashion Addict Eyeshadow: blended into the crease for colour and depth. I wanted this colour to show, so I bleed it in to the outer corners to blend with Rebel. This eyeshadow was also applied to the lower lash line to blend out Indian Ink.
  • Makeup Geek Rebel Eyeshadow: applied to the lid only.
  • MAC Indian Ink Eyeshadow (PRO): applied to the outer corners of the eye for depth and drama. Indian Ink was also smudged on the lash line, to give a messy liner look. I also went in with this eyeshadow to the lower lash line, avoiding the inner portion of the eye.
  • MAC Solar White Eyeshadow (LE): applied to the tear duct for brightness as well as to the brow bone, only underneath the arch of the brow.
  • Tate Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara: applied to both top and bottom lashes.
  • I am also wearing unknown lashes but if you want a natural lash I would recommend Ardell Demi Wispies.

  • Lips

  • Stila Baci Liquid Lipstick: applied evenly on the lips.
